Rum quite literally means the world to me.

It tells the story of exploration, exploitation, and the brutal colonization that gave us the world we live in. Rum is a lens through which we can explore both the past and our current relationships to people, agriculture, and industry at large. Rum is a sweet science1Footnote!, inextricably linked to our history, that continues to evolve and to educate. Rum is born of the people and it is for the people; a truly proletariat spirit. It is a potent escape from which we can choose to remember or forget2Footnote again!.
